Roland-Garros: Lindsay Davenport forfait

PARIS (Reuters) - L'ancienne numéro un mondiale Lindsay Davenport a déclaré forfait pour
Roland-Garros, annoncent les organisateurs des Internationaux de France.
L'Américaine, 31 ans et actuellement 16e mondiale, a invoqué des raisons personnelles pour
justifier son retrait du tournoi dont elle fut demi-finaliste en 1998.
Davenport avait cessé sa carrière durant un an en 2007 pour mettre au monde un petit garçon.
Elle a remporté deux titres cette saison à Auckland et Memphis.
Deux autres Américaines, Meghann Shaugnessy et Meilen Tu, ont également renoncé, n'étant
pas suffisamment remises de blessures.
